Israel & the Church Beyond the Headlines

Pastors, Ministers and Church Leaders, We would love to invite you to a morning of conversation and reflection as we explore the current situation in Israel and its significance for the Church. We will be joined by Dr. Yana Sanders and Darla Fields, the Hebrew Sisters, who bring decades of experience in teaching, ministry and the study of the Hebrew language, biblical culture and the Jewish roots of the Christian faith. Drawing on their work with the Hebrew Scrolls Academy, Hebrew language and biblical Hebraic studies, Yana and Darla will help us explore the historical and biblical context that can inform our understanding of Israel, the Jewish roots of our faith, and some of the questions facing the Church today. The morning will also provide an opportunity to engage with the Kairos II document and consider some of the issues and perspectives it raises for Christians and church leaders. We recognise that these are complex and deeply significant issues, and our aim is to create an open and respectful environment where we can listen, learn, ask questions and engage in honest conversation. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion, giving you the chance to raise issues you may have been considering and hear directly from Yana and Darla about their experience, teaching and perspective. Come along, listen, learn and join the conversation as we explore Israel, the Church and the questions before us.
