Welcome to Destiny Life
Church
Our community is built around the idea of Encountering God, Living Biblically and becoming more like Jesus.

What we believe.
We believe the Bible, consisting of the sixty six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, authoritative, and trustworthy Word of God. Holy Scripture was written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and is without error in all that it affirms concerning God’s character, humanity, salvation, and His purposes for the world.
The Bible reveals the glory of God, the sinfulness of man, the reality of judgement, and the redemption found in Jesus Christ alone. From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture points to Christ and God’s plan to reconcile all things through Him.
The Bible is the final authority for Christian belief, doctrine, and conduct and stands above human opinion, cultural trends, personal experience, and worldly philosophies. It is sufficient for teaching, correction, training in righteousness, and equipping believers to live faithfully before God.
Key Scriptures: 2 Timothy 3:16 to 17, Hebrews 4:12, Psalm 119 105, John 5:39
We believe there is one true and living God, eternally existing in three distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three Persons are one in essence, equal in glory, power, holiness, and majesty, yet distinct in personhood and role.
God is not divided, nor are there three gods, but one God revealed in three Persons. God is eternal, sovereign, all powerful, all knowing, holy, just, merciful, loving, and faithful. He created all things for His glory, sustains all things by His power, and rules over all creation with wisdom and righteousness.
God has revealed Himself through creation, through His Word, and supremely through His Son, Jesus Christ, who is the exact representation of His nature.
Key Scriptures: Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, Isaiah 6:1 to 3, Hebrews 1:1 to 3
We believe God created the heavens and the earth and created mankind uniquely in His image, male and female, for relationship with Him, for His glory, and to steward His creation according to His purposes.
Every human life possesses inherent dignity, value, and worth because each person is made in the image of God. We therefore affirm the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death and believe every person should be treated with dignity, compassion, and justice. Because human life is sacred before God, we believe the intentional taking of innocent human life, including abortion, is contrary to God’s design and command.
Although humanity was created good, Adam’s rebellion brought sin and death into the world. As a result, all people are born with a sinful nature and willingly sin in thought, word, and action. Sin separates humanity from God, corrupts every aspect of human nature, and leaves mankind unable to save itself apart from the grace of God.
Despite humanity’s fallenness, God continues to show mercy and calls all people to repentance and reconciliation through Jesus Christ.
Key Scriptures: Genesis 1:26 to 27, Psalm 139 13 to 16, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and entered human history without ceasing to be divine. He lived a sinless and perfectly obedient life, revealing the Father and proclaiming the Kingdom of God.
Jesus Christ is the fulfilment of the Law, the Prophets, and God’s covenant promises. He is the true Passover Lamb who was slain for the sins of the world, the greater Exodus through whom God delivers His people from sin and death, and the perfect and final sacrifice foreshadowed throughout the Old Testament sacrificial system.
In love and obedience to the Father, Jesus willingly gave Himself on the cross as the substitute for sinners, bearing the judgement deserved by humanity so that forgiveness, reconciliation, and redemption might be offered to all who believe.
On the third day He rose bodily from the dead, triumphing over sin, Satan, and death. He ascended to the right hand of the Father where He intercedes for His people and reigns as Lord and King. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man and the only hope of salvation for the world.
Key Scriptures: John 1:1 to 14, John 1:29, Isaiah 53:4 to 6, 1 Corinthians 5:7, Colossians 2:13 to 15
We believe salvation is the gift of God given by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Humanity cannot earn righteousness through good works, morality, religion, or personal effort. Salvation is accomplished entirely through the finished work of Jesus Christ in His life, death, and resurrection.
Those who repent of their sin and place their faith in Christ are forgiven, justified before God, adopted into His family, and made new through the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit. This new birth brings believers into restored fellowship with God and begins a transformed life marked by growing obedience, holiness, love for God, and perseverance in faith.
True saving faith produces the fruit of repentance and a desire to follow Jesus as Lord. Salvation is not merely intellectual belief but wholehearted trust in and surrender to Jesus Christ.
Key Scriptures: Ephesians 2:8 to 9, Romans 5:1, Titus 3:5, 2 Corinthians 5:17
We believe every believer is called to repentance, baptism, and a life led by the Holy Spirit. Water baptism is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ and identification with His death, burial, and resurrection.
The Holy Spirit indwells every believer, convicting of sin, producing spiritual fruit, empowering holy living, guiding into truth, and equipping the Church for worship, service, witness, and mission. Spiritual gifts are given by the Holy Spirit according to His will for the building up of the Church and the glory of Christ.
We believe believers should continually seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit, living lives marked by obedience, power, humility, holiness, and love.
Key Scriptures: Acts 2:38, Romans 6:3 to 4, 1 Corinthians 12:4 to 11, Galatians 5:22 to 23
We believe believers are called to follow Jesus in worship, obedience, holiness, humility, and love. Through the ongoing work of sanctification, the Holy Spirit transforms believers into the likeness of Christ.
Following Jesus requires repentance, self denial, taking up our cross daily, and turning away from sinful patterns of living. The Christian life is one of continual growth in godliness, dependence upon God’s grace, devotion to prayer, love for others, and faithful endurance.
Though believers still struggle against sin, God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in them for His glory.
Key Scriptures: Luke 9:23, Romans 12:1 to 2, Philippians 1:6, 1 Peter 1:15 to 16
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers united by faith in Jesus Christ across all nations and generations. Christ is the head of the Church and calls His people to gather together for worship, prayer, fellowship, teaching, discipleship, and mission.
The local church is called to proclaim the gospel faithfully, make disciples, care for one another, serve the poor and vulnerable, and live as a visible witness to the Kingdom of God in the world.
We believe God appoints qualified leaders to shepherd the Church with humility, integrity, and faithfulness to Scripture.
Key Scriptures: Ephesians 1:22 to 23, Acts 2:42 to 47, Hebrews 10:24 to 25, 1 Peter 5:2 to 4
We believe the Lord’s Supper is a sacred act of remembrance and proclamation instituted by Jesus Christ. Through the bread and the cup, believers remember Christ’s body broken for us and His blood shed for the forgiveness of sins.
Communion points us to the cross, proclaims the gospel, strengthens the unity of the Church, and reminds believers of the future marriage supper of the Lamb when Christ returns.
Key Scriptures: Luke 22:19 to 20, 1 Corinthians 11:23 to 26
We believe every person will stand before God and will exist eternally either in the presence of God or under His righteous judgement. Those who belong to Jesus Christ will be raised to eternal life and everlasting joy in the presence of God. Those who reject Christ remain under judgement and separated from God.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, the final judgement, and the ultimate renewal of all things under the reign of Christ. God will establish a new heaven and new earth where righteousness dwells and where His people will worship Him forever.
Key Scriptures: Matthew 25:46, John 5:28 to 29, 1 Corinthians 15:42 to 44, Revelation 21:1 to 4
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly, bodily, and in glory to judge the living and the dead and to bring the fullness of His Kingdom. The return of Christ is the blessed hope of the Church and calls believers to live faithfully, watchfully, and expectantly.
No one knows the day or hour of His return, therefore the Church must remain spiritually awake, devoted to Christ, and faithful in proclaiming the gospel until He comes. The Church does not replace Israel and salvation comes first from the Jews. We honour and recognise Israel as a nation and as a people who are still fully in the plan of God.
Key Scriptures: Acts 1:11, Matthew 24:36, Titus 2:13, Revelation 22:20, John 4:22,
We believe marriage is a covenant established by God between one man and one woman for life and is designed to reflect the covenant love between Christ and His Church. Sexual intimacy is a gift from God intended only within the covenant of marriage.
We believe God created humanity male and female and that our identity and purpose are found ultimately in Him. Any sexual relationship or practice outside God’s design falls short of His will and calls for repentance, grace, and transformation through Jesus Christ.
We are committed to upholding biblical truth with conviction and compassion, recognising that every person is made in the image of God and deeply loved by Him. We believe the gospel offers forgiveness, restoration, holiness, and new life to all who come to Christ.
Key Scriptures: Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4 to 6, Ephesians 5:31 to 32, 1 Corinthians 6:18 to 20
